-
Gun Dog Training:
-
This should take about 3
months.
-
This is the foundation work
for your Gun Dog.
-
The best age for this
training with your dog is between 9 months to 1 year old.
-
The First week we
concentrate on the yard work including teaching Heel & whoa.
-
Once the dog has got that down
we move on to introduction to birds.
-
We follow this up with more obedience
work.
-
Next we will work on
the introduction to the gun.
-
Then we will be
training on voice and whistle commands.
-
Then we work on getting the dog Steady to wing and shot.
-
The above time frame
depends on natural ability and maturity of the dog.
-
This time frame
will very, not all dogs mature and develop at the same age.
-
At the end of three
months you will have a good foundation start on your dog.
-
4 to 6 months old
-
What we are really
working on in this training environment is just to bring out
and nurture your puppies natural instincts.
-
There will be very little pressure
on the young pup if any.
-
The goal is to make this
experience a fun one for the the young dog.
